On December 22, 2009 at approximately 1805 hrs., Ladder 400 was dispatched with Station 1 for a dwelling fire at 7815 Conwell Road in the Laverock section of Cheltenham Township. Prior to arrival, command reported a working fire and requested 2 additional engines and an additional ladder, upon which Engine 400 was dispatched. Upon Ladder 400's arrival, it's crew was directed to ventilate the rear of the building as well as force entry to the rear of the building, and ventilate the roof. Members then assisted with backing up the engine crews in extinguishing the blaze. Engine 400's crew assisted with throwing several ground ladders for egress from the roof of the building as well as assisted with extensive overhaul.
